2025’s Adventure Bike Line-Up Just Got Exciting - Meet some of the New Contenders

- Exceptional Spec For Price
- Throaty 270° Twin Cylinder 600cc Engine
- Quality Suspension / Tyres / Brakes
£6,200 OTR

A £6000 budget would normally mean a second-hand purchase in the larger capacity adventure sector these days, however with the Voge DS625X that buys a box-fresh bike with zero miles on road or trail. Is there a pay-off against quality though? Not it would seem based on the quality KYB suspended, Metzeler Tourance shod DS62X.
The 580cc parallel twin produces 63bhp (47kW) at 9000rpm, with 42lb·ft (57Nm) of torque at 6500rpm and also features a 270° crank, giving the V-twin characteristics and an uneven firing order now favoured on parallel twins, especially those with off-road pretensions.
So should you be concerned about buying a new brand such as Voge in the UK market? Being that they’re a sub-brand of Loncin – the Chinese maker of 2.5 million motorbikes a year and who also manufacture engines for BMW – it’s a fair assumption that they know how to put motorbikes together.
- Mini GS at an affordable price
- Rally colours look fantastic
- Unique 125° firing order
£7000 (est.)

Still not officially released, the BMW F450GS is due to be available in the second half of 2025 replacing the G310GS and is set to be the mini GS the 310 never really was.
2 models are expected – road and off-road models – with the latter sporting the big GS’s rally colour scheme as an option.
The parallel twin 450 delivers an A2 friendly 48hp while weighing in at 175kg and uniquely (BMW claim) features a 125° firing order. Will this deliver the feel of the boxer-twin big brother? We look forward to finding out.
- Step-change in GS evolution
- Exceptional new chassis
- Accomplised in every area
£18,780 (base)

Strictly speaking, the successor to the iconic 1250GSA was released at the end of 2024; however, such an important model in the pantheon of adventure motorbikes must be included in this guide.
First impressions of the pre-release press pictures were of perhaps of a larger bike than the 1250 given the boxy styling around the tank, however, this impression is gone from the moment the active suspension lowers to allow you to climb aboard with ease onto what feels a more compact GS. On the move, the new chassis somehow gives an almost sport-bike feel of “think to change direction” to navigate corners, while the active suspension absorbs road undulations and delivers the magic carpet ride of previous GSs.
All day comfort is a given, as is the list of accessories and equipment to tailor the bike for your every need. The GSA evolution continues with the 1300GSA being a significant step forward.
- Impressive powertrain
- High level of standard equipment
- Build quality looks impressive
£6999 (+OTR)

Keyless ignition, electrically adjustable screen, cornering lights, blindspot radar, etc – sounds like the spec of a European motorbike costing in the range of £20k? Not in this instance as the Zontes 703F costs only £6999!
As another Chinese entry to the UK market, the Zontes boasts a 699cc triple engine producing 96 hp at 10,000 rpm and 56 lb.-ft. of torque at 7,500 rpm. Marzocchi suspension and Michelin tyres keep the Zontes on the road, while first impressions of build quality are good.
The Zontes is worthy of consideration against Japanese and European rivals.

The similarities between the CFMOTO 800MT-X and KTM 790 Adventure are unsurprising given CFMOTO make the LC8 engine for KTM. Their own version produces 90hp at 8,250rpm and 63.4lb-ft (86Nm) at 6,500rpm.
The chassis also shares the KTM’s split fuel tanks slung low down to keep the centre of gravity low. Fully adjustable suspension and 21 inch / 18 inch wheels, add to the off-road capabilities of the 800MT-X.
Notable on-road features of cornering ABS, Bluetooth connectivity, tyre pressure monitoring, and cruise control complete an impressive spec for £7999.
